What all documents are required for signing up?

We require your valid photo ID (passport or driving license) and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months).

While adding a secondary keyholder, do I need to be present?

Yes, both the primary and secondary keyholders must be present to sign the additional keyholder form. The secondary keyholder should also bring proof of address (a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months) and a valid ID.

Do we have to disclose the contents of the box?

No. IBV is strictly private and confidential. IBV and their staff do not know the contents of your box. Our viewing cubicles within the vault are not monitored by CCTV as it is for your private viewing.

Who knows what is in the Safe deposit locker?

Only the client and the nominated key holders would know what is in the box.

Who has access to the box?

The client and the nominated key holders have access to the box.
All nominated key holders are required to be present with the primary key holder and have their original ID document on hand in order to be added on to our system for access.

Does my next of kin have access to the box? 

No. Should anything happen to the primary and secondary key holders, we will have to contact the nominated next of kin. They will however not have access to the box unless appointed as an executor. The next of Kin may assist us in contacting the client.

How do I open the IBV International Vaults Safe Deposit Box?

To open your safe deposit box at IBV International Vaults, you have to follow a few steps:

What if I lose the keys to my Safe Deposit Box? Can I get a replacement?

Losing the key to your safety deposit box is indeed a crucial matter. You should immediately contact the IBV International Vaults as soon as you realize that you’ve lost the key. IBV International will provide you locksmith assistance to access your vault and will create a new key for you, though it may be subject to lock replacement fee.

How do I renew or cancel my Safe Deposit Box rental?

You can contact IBV International’s customer service directly either by phone or email if you want to renew your safe deposit box rental. But if you are cancelling, then you have to visit the IBV International branch where your box is located to complete a close agreement and remove your personal belongings.

Is there a minimum or maximum rental period for a Safe Deposit Box?

Well, there is no restriction on the rental period for a safe deposit box at IBV International. You can rent a safe deposit box to store your belongings for as long as you want. You just need to keep renewing your safe deposit box rental after a particular period until the cancellation.
