At IBV International Vaults in Mayfair, timeless craftsmanship took center stage during an extraordinary evening co-hosted with Louis XIII Cognac and The Royal Mint, complemented by elegant catering from The Dorchester Collection and a soulful live performance by jazz artist Mimi Rose.
Set within the classically adorned private vaults of IBV, guests were welcomed into a world where legacy, artistry, and refinement converge. The highlight of the evening was an immersive Louis XIII cognac tasting experience—a ritual steeped in elegance and history.
Each guest was presented with a hand-crafted Baccarat crystal glass, chosen specifically to elevate the aromatic complexity of the cognac. As part of the guided tasting, Louis XIII ambassadors led guests through a slow, deliberate journey of appreciation:
The Look – Guests were invited to observe the warm amber glow of the cognac as light danced through the crystal, reflecting its age and richness.
The Swirl – A gentle swirl released the first waves of aroma, inviting the nose to discover its layers.
The Nose – The bouquet unfolded slowly—notes of dried fruits, floral honey, figs, sandalwood, and myrrh revealed the depth of the century-old eaux-de-vie.
The Sip – A small sip lingered gracefully on the palate, unveiling a symphony of flavors that evolved moment by moment.
The Finish – The lasting impression: smooth, luxurious, and unforgettable—true to the Louis XIII legacy.
Alongside this, The Royal Mint showcased a curated selection of rare coins, watches, and collectibles—each with its own story of precision and prestige.
With live jazz by Mimi Rose adding warmth and soul to the room, and exquisite bites and champagne served by The Dorchester Collection, the evening felt intimate yet grand—a true celebration of heritage and shared excellence.
